Ending Violence Against Women and Girls

2024 programme preview...

16 Days of Activism will be returning to Penzance between 25th November and 10th December.

The campaign will see a programme of events and activities calling for an end to violence against women and girls. The initiative is part of an annual wider global movement that aims to raise awareness of gender-based violence and inspire action to bring about real change.

In 2024, events will include:

25th November: ‘Take back the Night’ walk and vigil, remembering and honouring all the women who have lost their lives at the hands of their partner, or former partner, or someone they know. (5.30pm onwards)

29th November: Jane Pugh ‘Voices from the Deep’ writing workshop at Hypatia Trust (6pm-8pm)

4th December: Vagina Monologues at The Acorn Theatre

8th December: Women’s Well-being event at Old School Studios, Newlyn

9th December: The Big Splash at Jubilee Pool
